Aug 30, 2019 · Three review: Coverage and connection speeds. Three’s network coverage is generally very good. 4G services are now the norm across most of the UK, with only a few coastal or rural areas stuck in 1800MHz meanwhile isn’t quite as long range or as good at passing through walls, but it’s available in a higher capacity, which means it can cope with lots of simultaneous connections. Three also has some other spectrum in the 3.4GHz and 3.6-4GHz bands, however this is only currently used for 5G. Unlimited mobile data. This is possibly the best thing about Three: it's one of the only networks to offer plans with 'All-you-can-eat' unlimited mobile data.Technically there's a cap, but it's around 1000GB per month - you'd need to be constantly downloading at top speeds all day to hit it. Three is a well-established mobile network and has a physical presence on many UK high streets – you can find your nearest shop using the Three store locator. Alternatively, you can get help and advice by calling Three's customer services on 333 (from a Three mobile phone) or 0333 300 3333. Their coverage is excellent, if you are outside their coverage you simply roam on to O2, 3 have just signed a deal with Orange and when your outside 3's coverage you will soon be roaming onto Orange instead of O2. 3 have the best 3G coverage of any UK network. Considering buying a phone on the 3 network, however none of my friends have used it, and I assumed it's not a very common network to be on? Is it any good, or are any of you on it currently? Is the service/3G any good? Thankees Well 3 themselves dont own a 2G network but you can roam onto orange 2G in some places. Ive found their network to have good coverage in built up areas, the advantage o2 have is the are using the 900mhz frequency for 2G and soon 3G which travels further and can pentrate through buildings better. 3 win on data speeds though ive had upto 5.8Mbits at one point, ive heard nothing but bad news
The service is like any other network - great in places, bad in others. I find though that you get more internet with them (unlimited is usually 1GB, others is 500MB) and cheaper, being a £5 addon for 1GB data if you get a plan without the net, whereas o2 is about 7.50 i think.

They went live with HSDPA technology in September 2008 and currently maintain the highest level of 3G coverage in the UK. Jan 10, 2020 · Unique selling points: Talkmobile is a no-frills network.
